Why The Surface Of Glass With Ice Water Sweats Or Gets Wet

There are so many things we see in our daily life. Some science tips, so cannot be overlooked. Why The Surface Of Glass With Ice Water Sweats? If we keep a glass full of ice water, we see droplets of water forming on the outer surface of the glass after some times. The reason is the presence of water vapor in air.

Water can exist in three states. They are ice, water and water vapor. Vapor is the gaseous state of water. Ice is the solid and normal water is liquid state of water. Water of Earth surface mostly evaporates due to the heat of the sun and get into air.  So, water exists in air as water vapor. Water vapor can again be convened into liquid water by applying low temperature.

So, when we keep a glass of ice water in air, the water vapor in the air comes in contact with the glass. As the glass is cold, the water vapor at, the surface 0f the, glass turns into water and forms small droplets. So, the outer surface of the glass sweats or becomes wet.
