Seed dispersal is very important for plants because seed dispersal helps plantd to create new colonies. A plant needs minerals, water from soil along with sunlight. Thus a plant needs some space to grow and spread.
If a new plant grows very near to other plants, it will remain under the shade of other trees which are coparatively bigger. So the smaller one will not get sunlight. Because of other plants which are near, the new plant will not get enough minerals and water from soil.
Thus a seed of a plant has to be dispersed as per as possible for the survival of new plants. A plant also wants to increase the size of its plant colony and also wants to create new colonies in new places.
So a plant disperses its seeds through various ways in the natural environment. Seed grows into plants and plants ensure our necessary oxygen to survive.
