1.0 Vehicle Pool Eligibility || Transport Allowance:
Sonata Limited (herein referred to as the Company) will provide personal cars to all employees with the
grade Manager II and above, for their use while they are employed at the Company. Other than graded Officer will receive a lump sum Transport Allowance.
The Company will offer Vehicle Pool Services to all its permanent employees with the grade Officer and above up to Manager. Based on vehicle availability, these employees may avail all of the Van Pool services, with the exception of Pick and Drop, Second Lift, and Sixth Day Pick and Drop Services, which are only available for employees who do not reside in the immediate area. The immediate area is defined in the Circular.
The eligible employees living in the immediate area will be expected to provide their own transportation to and from work, for which the Company will reimburse them at actual cost, up to a maximum of Rs 40.00 per trip i.e. per day reimbursable amount will be maximum 40.00 x 2= Rs. 80.00, according to HRD Memo of “Transport Allowance for Employees” of September 18, 2012.
The eligible employees, who are unable to avail the Van Pool Service- Pick and Drop, will be expected to
provide their own transportation to and from work, for which the Company will reimburse them for a monthly conveyance allowance of Rs.2,000.00, according to HRD Memo of “Transport Allowance for Employees” of September 18, 2012.
A “Monthly Conveyance Form” should be filled out, and approved by their Department Head, and then
sent to the Finance Department, for all Transport Allowance/ conveyance related reimbursements.
